Will you send one email to help bring $30 million in assistance to Fort McMurray?

May 22, 2016 (revised)

Only 1% of Montrealers surveyed support lighting up the Jacques Cartier Bridge at the cost of $39.5 million.  http://www.cjad.com/cjad-news-quebec-beyond/2016/01/23/only-one-per-cent-of-quebecers-want-40-million-spent-on-lighting-jacquescartier-bridge-poll

Will you please take 30 seconds and write to the Hon. Amarjeet Sohi, Minister of Infrastructure

 infc.minister-ministre.infc@canada.ca

and tell him to claw back the $30 million of federal funds to light up Montreal’s Jacques Cartier Bridge and send it to Fort McMurray instead?

Is it wise to spend $39.5 million to light up the Jacques Cartier Bridge at a time when a major part of Fort McMurray has been destroyed and so many have lost their homes and businesses??

Here is contact info for ALL of Canada’s MPs. Please phone yours day/night/weekend and leave them a message and ask that Canada claw back the $30 million to be wasted on lighting up Montreal’s Jacques Cartier Bridge and instead spend the $$$ on rebuilding Fort McMurray. http://www.lop.parl.gc.ca/ParlInfo/compilations/houseofcommons/memberbypostalcode.aspx?Menu=HOC

PLEASE WRITE TO MINISTER SOHI, CALL YOUR MP and SHARE THIS BLOG  IMMEDIATELY!

Time is running out!

THANK YOU!!

  1. It’s insanity to spend our hard earned tax dollars on this stupidity! This money needs to be put into health care, fixing the homeless situation, cancer treatment, gerontology, families. Stop the MADNESS!

  2. Hi Murray Levine! Let’s get this page translated and promote it in the media. Can you think of a translator who can do this for free? If not, I can help.
ps — I did send the mayor an email, as suggested. Thank you so much for the initiative.
